Works closely with ED Physicians to identify patients eligible and appropriate for results pending to facilitate the flow of patients throughout the ED. Suggests solutions to identified barriers and in conjunction with ED management, implements these solutions.ĭevelops and promotes positive effective customer service relations with patients, patient family members, visitors, and staff. Identifies barriers to the admission/transfer process for patients. Supports the ED initiatives and goal metrics including turn-around-times for arrival to triage, admit orders to disposition, and overall Length of Stay.Ĭoordinates and continuously monitors patient flow, supporting patient throughout utilizing appropriate resources from admission, transfer or discharge, and facilitates the processes in a timely manner. Assists with the flow of patients from triage to the different areas of the ED based on mode of arrival, patient condition and chief complaint. Collaborates and communicates with the Clinical Coordinators, Nurses and Medical Team to facilitate timely movement of patients through the department.
